Course 5: Jean-Baptiste Robin: French-Baroque repertoire for organ

Who is in better hands for the treatment of the French repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries than specialist Jean-Baptiste Robin? He is organist of the chapel of the Palace of Versailles, where he plays a historic 17th-century organ. Like no other, he knows the works from the rich French organ tradition that were written for this organ type. Robin has also built up a great name as an international organist, composer and organ expert. He is a teacher at the Conservatory of Versailles and also at the Cathedral in Poitiers. He writes for orchestra, organ and various chamber music combinations.
